We will introduce how to set report filling attribute of FineReport reporting software in this article.

1. Description

To set report filling attributes, you need to bind the report body cell to the data table field to guarantee one-to-one correspondence of cell data and database field for data entry at the time of data submission.

2. Set Report Filling Attribute

Click Template > Report Filling Attribute. Click button and select built-in SQL. Set Submit Type as default Intelligent Submission, and Database as FineReport built-in FRDemo Database. Enter the data to the Employee Table of the database, as shown below:

2.1 Bind field

Intelligently add field

Click Intelligently Add Field to pop up the dialog that lists all fields in the data table. Check the field requiring data change. By default, check all fields. In this case, use Default Setting and click OK to add all fields in the database to the panel for cell binding, as shown below:

After adding of database field, the next step is to add cell. Click Intelligently Add Cell to pop up Add Cell dialog, which is displayed in the report body. Directly click the cells in the report body and you can bind cells for specific fields. In case of add error, select the value text box after specific field in the dialog box, then click correct cell, as shown below:

Primary key setting

After data table fields and cells are added and correspond to each after, check the primary key. As Employee ID field is the primary key in the Employee Table, also check Employee ID as the primary key in the Report Filling Attribute, as shown below:
