Today we will introduce two attibutes-report engine attribute and export attribute in our report designer.

1. Report Engine Attribute

In Finereport business intelligence, click menu Template > Report Engine Attribute to pop up Row Engine Setting interface, as shown below:

In default, report will not enable row engine, which is enabled when the report data is massive and the report is not complicated. Execute report based on page fetch to greatly shorten report execution time and improve user experience;

At the same time, many report features are no longer supported, roughly as shown below: For example: not support of change of row height and column width in condition attribute, morphology setting, attribute settings (except extend attribute from top to bottom), floated element, hierarchical coordinate, split column, calculation between sheets, sub-report, freeze, etc.

In short, row engine is generally applied in display of simple detailed lists with massive data and there are no attribute settings and calculation between cells.

For row engine examples, refer to Enable Row Engine to Execute Hierarchical Report.

2. Report Export Attribute

Click menu Template > Report Export Attribute to op up the Report Export Attribute dialog, where you can control whether to export hidden rows and columns of Excel, to set Excel and PDF export passwords and to set Word export row height:

For Excel export attribute setting, refer to Hidden Rows and Columns in Excel Export and Export Password;

For PDF export attribute setting, refer to PDF Export Password Attribute;

For Word export attribute setting, refer to AutoFit Row Height in Word Export.
