1. Description

Select Chart. We can click Chart Property – Style > Coordinate Axis > Value Axis in the Chart Attribute Panel to configure styles of value axis as shown below:

2. Axis value

2.1 Axis type and color

Line style and color settings of value axis are the same as those of category axis, see Line Style and Color of Category Axis for more details.

2.2 Graduation line

Graduation line settings of value axis are the same as those of category axis. See Graduation Line of Category Axis for more details.

2.3 Unit

If data directly displayed in value axis are rather large, such as several ten thousand, hundred thousand and million, plenty of 0 will be displayed, making the chart neither beautiful nor convenient. Therefore, we provide you with unit options, from which you can select ten thousand, hundred thousand, million and other units to reduce the number of displayed 0 for the convenience of data reading and data analysis.

3. Axis title

We can determine whether to display the title of value axis, which defaults to be invisible, in the same way as the title of category axis based on actual conditions. See Title of Category Axis
for more details.

4. Tag

Tag settings are the same as those of category axis. See Tag of Category Axis
for more details.

5. Data format

Settings of data format are the same as those of category axis. See Data Format of Category Axis for more details.

6. Value definition

Value axis indicates magnitude of Series value, part of reporting tool and business intelligence tool. Default graduation range starts from 0 and maximum is self-defined by the designer based on actual data as shown below:

Note: defined graduation range can be dynamically displayed by formulas.

Log scale

Some of user’s vertical coordinates values are small, some great. In default, small Series values are almost close to 0 and cannot be clearly viewed. In such case, we can configure the log scale in reference to the example of Column Chart with Log Coordinate Display.
