Description<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Just like a pie chart, a doughnut chart, as an importing <a title=\"FineReport BI and reporting tool\" href=\"\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\">reporting tool<\/a> and <a title=\"FineReport reporting and business intelligence tool\" href=\"\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\">business intelligence tool<\/a>, shows the relationship of parts to a whole. With a doughnut chart, you can clearly understand the percent of each part contributing to the whole so as to do a better <a title=\"FineReport data analysis\" href=\"\/en\/help\/data-analysis\" target=\"_blank\">data analysis<\/a>. However, different from a pie chart, a doughnut chart can contain more than one categories, i.e., multi-ring doughnut chart. In this kind of chart, you can compare data change trends of a series under different categories from radial direction so that you can do better&nbsp;<a title=\"FineReport BI and reporting tool data visualization\" href=\"\/en\/help\/data-visualization\" target=\"_blank\">data visualization<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>2. Example<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Next, we will prepare a doughnut chart to display product sales conditions of each region. Through this chart, you can view the proportion of product sales volumes of each region and compare the sales volume difference of a same product in different regions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.1 Prepare data<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Create dataset ds1: <span style=\"color: purple;\">SELECT * FROM [sales volume]<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>2.2 Doughnut chart<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Merge a group of cells in the main body of the report. There are 2 data in the region field. Therefore, the doughnut chart has 2 rings.
