Report/Form Designer is used to design report/form template through dragging and dropping data element to Cell in the Excel like worksheet.The built-in report engine can run the template,fill data and export it to HTML/PDF/Excel/Word formats, which let Designer work as an independent reporting tool.
Report Server contains report engine and web server, which will run the report template and send DHML back to user browser to review or print. FineReport has cache mechanism provides good support to huge volume concurrent accesses. Further more, server gives user the ability to input/modify worksheet in browser, and save changes back to multiple data sources, the unique approach provides an easy way for user to create interactive web application beyond reporting.
